Welcome to The GB Theatre Company,
a British theatre company performing classic plays both indoor and open-air.

For our first summer tour, we are presenting Shakespeare in the open-air commencing at Trinity College Dublin, followed by Ramme Gaard in Norway, Girton College in Cambridge, the magnificent cloister at Norwich Cathedral, the stately Kentwell Hall in Suffolk, three venues in the Czech Republic - including the capital, Prague - and The Collector Earl's Garden at Arundel Castle.

We are also proud to present Corporate and School shows: in addition to the above, we are performing at Reading School, a Foundation grammar school in Berkshire, in a programme designed to compliment the current curriculum, and at Windsor, in two private shows for ComXo. Please contact us for further information on tailored Corporate and School bookings.

We have decided to start with two of Shakespeare’s romantic comedies: his pastoral masterpiece As You Like It, and his comedy of manners The Merry Wives of Windsor.  The pairing works extremely well, and the experienced cast and directors - combined with exquisite Elizabethan costumes and traditional settings - allow the poetry, ideas and language of the plays to flourish, successfully translating The Bard’s work from page to stage.

Matt Milburn & Gabriel Thomson

The magnificent ensemble cast features former Hollyoaks star Matt Milburn and BBC 1’s My Family star Gabriel Thomson.

Tradition holds that Merry Wives was written for Elizabeth I herself. Her wish fulfilled by our great poet, we have the opportunity to enjoy the same laughs over 400 years later.

“All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players”.

We totally agree which is why we have formed The GB Theatre Company.

Enjoy the shows!
